Hey there, friends, and happy October! I hope the weather is starting to turn where you are and that you get to enjoy the beautiful fall colors soon enough. How has it been around your homes with school starting? Are you and your kiddos getting back into a routine?
There’s been a lot of change in the One Hoolie Mama world during the blog’s radio silence, and I wanted to give you a few updates and say how much I’ve missed you all!
Back in August, I left my full time office job to stay home with the kiddos. Transitioning from being a working mom to a stay-at-home-mom has been different than I expected, but more on that another day. I’m still telecommuting and working part time for my boss, and I am very thankful for the technology that allows me to do that.
The biggest change in our world, though, is that a few weeks ago, #babyd3 joined our family. She (yes, this boymom is moving into the world of pink and polka dots!) was born on September 15 and is an absolute doll. We are adjusting well to our life as a family of five, and her brothers adore her. Sleeping is….well, it’s newborn sleep, but I usually get one good stretch of about 4 hours before she’s up every 2-2.5 hours.
My virtual assistant gig is starting to pick up and I’m enjoying developing my website and helping my clients. I’m getting to know some of my mama friends better now that I’m not at work everyday from 8:30-5:00. We’ve added a mom-mobile to the family and I am surprised by how much I love it. Who knew a minivan could be so fun to drive?
All in all, we’re enjoying a time of lots of newness and change. I have big goals for myself and my family for the last quarter of the year, so stick around and I’ll be sharing all I can on the blog to help you other mamas.
Leave me a comment and let me know what I’ve missed these past few months and what’s going on in your world!
